Soon enough Apple will have to give their most popular and iconic laptop device-the MacBook- a complete refresh. This refresh will include upgrades in the hardware as well as significant upgrades in the design. Most interesting of all, is the rumored return of the black MacBook. The white version will be the standard, while the black version will be the more upscale version. Well, with today’s economy, it wouldn’t hurt for Apple to also reduce their prices, right?
The two versions of the MacBook 2011- white and black- will serve different purposes. The white version will be the entry level MacBook for people who just need to run basic everyday programs, and the black version will be the more upscale version designed to fit users who need to run more demanding programs, such as games and graphics designing software.
Of course, the MacBook 2011 will incorporate the new Sandy Bridge processors, no matter which version of the MacBook you get. While the white will have the i3 processor, the black version will utilize the i5 processor. There is almost no difference in the performance of the two different processors if you only need the laptop to run the everyday applications such as email and surfing the Internet. The i5 processors will only show its superior power when the users need to run more demanding applications.
When it comes to the screen and camera, there is no difference between the two MacBook’s. Both of them will have improved resolution as well as the Apple FaceTime camera. The improved resolution in the screen allows users to view images and videos at unprecedented clarity, and the FaceTime camera allows user to capture vivid images and videos.
The cost of these MacBook’s will also be a major improvement of Apple’s 2011 MacBook update. The white version, which is the entry level MacBook, will have a reduced price of $899, compared to the previous $999. The $100 reduction will certainly make the MacBook more affordable to many, especially in the economy today. The upscale version will cost $1099. These are just rumors now, but they do have some sort of credibility.
