Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and featuring a 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen, the new 3G smartphone enables T-Mobile customers to easily surf the Web, access their favorite social networking sites and choose from thousands of applications to download from Google Play. A Tampa company has developed a new product that ensures cell phone and smart phone users will never drop their mobile devices again. The product is called SnapALoopand it attaches to the back of mobile devices and features a loop for users to slide their finger through to so the object doesn’t fall out of their hand.

“I’ve dropped my phone plenty of times while trying to multitask or while texting, and that’s how I came up the idea for SnapALoop,” said company President and CEO Bryan Karle.

SnapALoop’s ring, which is made from a soft flexible plastic also swivels 360 degrees for greater customer comfort Karle noted.

Manufactured entirely in the United States, Karle said dropping a smart phone can prove to be costly. “You can spend $300, $400, $500 or more on some of these devises and when you drop one on tile or cement, even on a wood floor you run the risk of having it break apart.”

But Karle said destroying a cell phone or smart phone by dropping it in water is not unheard of either. “Living in Florida, I know boaters who have dropped their cell phones in the water, people who have dropped their phones in a pool and I know people who’ve accidentally dropped their phone in the toilet.” SnapALoop, he said, is designed to prevent that from ever happening again.

The company also touts the product as perfect for runners or walkers who want to attach it to an MP3 player.

Sold online through the company’s website, SnapALoop will be available in multiple colors at a cost of $9.95 for one set, which includes one base and 3 different sized loops. Sales will begin in early May.

Supposing a student does want to be president, the first step along the way to getting his or her fanny into that big chair in the big office is acing the AP exams. Voters want the guy/gal in charge to have some semblance of a brain (despite the track record of oh-so-many politicians). Remember: Red phone=Nukes. Black phone=Domino’s.

While “phone selection” may not be an area specifically covered on the exams, they will test a student’s overall know-her-stuffness. The AP exams are only a week and a half away, and it’s a good time for students to brush up on all their favorite (or least favorite) subjects. Especially for those who seek to move out of their parents’ house and into the White House…or any other house really.
